3|SHARE Welcomes New CTO - Paul Legan

Bradley Surratt, November 8, 2019

paul_pic-1Introducing the man, the myth, the legend... and the new CTO of 3|SHARE, Paul Legan. Those of us who know Paul already, will agree this interview is a miracle all on it's own - as Paul is not typically a fan of talking about himself (he's humble like that). That being said, we were able to coax out the following responses, in an attempt to decipher the enigma that is Paul Legan. Enjoy!

Q) Tell the world a little bit about yourself.

"I grew up in Connecticut, went to school in New York, and currently live with my wife in Washington, DC.  I was hired by 3|SHARE as a Developer after working with the company on the client side. At the time, there were only 7-or-so people at the company and I met everyone a month later at our first company meeting in Hawaii. I love baseball (go Yankees!), reading, and food-centric travel."

 Q) What are you most looking forward to in your new role as CTO?

"I’m looking forward to taking advantage of new technologies for both ourselves and our clients. I’ve always been enamored with the speed of change in our industry and feel 3|SHARE can benefit greatly from the latest tools."

 Q) What are some things you're hoping to change/keep the same at 3|SHARE?

"3|SHARE’s culture is unrivaled by any other company I’ve experienced first- or -second-hand, so it will be a priority to maintain what we have here. From an external perspective, I’d like to explore partnerships with other vendors in evolving spaces – video, automation, AI and machine learning – and play a more prominent role in the technical community, whether it be through open source contributions or regional events."

 Q) Where do you think the Technology/SAAS industry is heading in the next 5-10 years?

"There are so many interesting AI and ML tools that allow virtually anyone to take advantage of their potential, but many industries haven’t found the best way to train and utilize them as of yet. At 3|SHARE, our clients have a common set of tedious problems they consistently ask us to solve and I think we’ll use AI to accomplish many of those tasks within the next couple years."

 Q) Just for fun: what is your favorite quote?

"My favorite quote has always been a variation of “Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is not putting it in fruit salad.” by Miles Kington. I’ve tried to live within the context of that distinction."

Paul has been with us since 3|SHARE's early beginnings in 2011, and has consistently proven himself to be "the smartest guy in the room" and the best candidate to fill the role of CTO. He's been a key player in helping 3|SHARE achieve Adobe Global Alliance Partner status and Adobe Partner of the Year awards in 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019.

Working as the former EVP of UX Strategy & Technology, Paul also helped 3|SHARE transform into a powerhouse of 80+ Adobe Experience Cloud experts with 900+ successful Adobe projects under our belts. He has been a driving force behind some of our most prolific Case Studies and brings innovation and a fresh perspective to everything he touches.

To say we're excited to see what Paul has in store for 3|SHARE is an understatement. Please join us in flooding his inbox with congratulatory messages, words of wisdom, and any potential Adobe Experience Cloud implementations or upgrade requests!
